State Accountability
The Office of Accountability develops, implements, and evaluates accountability systems as required by federal law and state statutes. This includes the implementation of the state Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) plan, the identification of CSI/TSI/ATSI schools, the Input-Based Accountability System (IBAS) and the Performance-Based Accountability System (PBAS). The Office also provides direct technical support and assistance to schools, districts, and policymakers in understanding and interpreting accountability results.
Call for Nominations – State Accountability Task Force Members
The New Hampshire Department of Education is seeking nominations to the State Accountability Task Force. The Task Force, authorized under SB 378, will be charged with designing a new state accountability process to replace the current Performance Based Accountability System (PBAS). The work of the Task Force will continue through July 2026, with a required report to the legislature due at the end of that time. Please see this detailed job description for more information.
You may nominate yourself, or a colleague, by December 13, 2024, using this nomination form. There is no limit on the number of nominations you may submit. Each task force member must have experience with the New Hampshire public education system and must meet specific role requirements. This work will require in-person meeting attendance throughout the year.
