State Board adopts Learn Everywhere rules

CONCORD- The State Board of Education voted 4-2 this morning to grant final approval to the Learn Everywhere program, which is designed to expand options for New Hampshire high school students to earn credit toward graduation.

"Since the Legislature directed the Department of Education to develop an alternative path for students to earn credit toward graduation, we have been working to make it happen," said Education Commissioner Frank Edelblut. "Today's vote is the final step in making Learn Everywhere a reality for students and families of New Hampshire."

"Learn Everywhere opens exciting opportunities for New Hampshire students to get high school credit for innovative alternative education programs offered outside of the traditional public school infrastructure. Empowering our non-profits and businesses to create alternative programs in cooperation with and approved by the state will greatly enrich our public education experience," added State Board Chair Andrew Cline.
