NH VR Office Consolidation Preserves Services

New Hampshire Vocational Rehabilitation continues to assist in providing employment services to individuals with disabilities

CONCORD – New Hampshire Vocational Rehabilitation is merging its Nashua office next month as the bureau continues to eye its finances and work to assist residents with disabilities. The bureau works with customers around the state in an effort to connect individuals with disabilities find employment opportunities. Part of the cost-saving focus at NH VR has been to preserve as many services to those customers in need in the wake of financial constraints.

As part of its restructuring plan, Nashua and Manchester VR offices will merge on Sept. 10, 2018. VR counselors supporting clients in Nashua will work with their customers at the One-Stop (NH Works) office as well as in schools and collaboratively with existing partners.

“Customers are our No. 1 priority, so remaining in the community to serve them, during this time, is critical,” said Lisa Hinson-Hatz, the director of NH Vocational Rehabilitation. “I have worked personally with the supervisor in the office to ensure we have options available for staff to serve customers in the Nashua area.”
