Grievance Procedure for ADA
Step 1
- Any individual may file a grievance with the ADA Coordinator or designee outlining what the grievance believes to be a violation of the Act.
- The ADA Coordinator or designee will contact the grievant within fifteen calendar days and set up a meeting with the grievant at a mutually convenient time and date.
- The ADA Coordinator or designee will meet with the grievant and determine what facts are believed to be in dispute.
- The ADA Coordinator or designee will attempt to resolve the complaint if it is within his or her authority to do so.
Step 2
- If the ADA Coordinator or designee is unable to resolve the complaint, s/he shall notify the grievant and the agency Head of the decision.
- The ADA Coordinator or designee will forward to the agency head all facts and allegations made by the grievant.
- The Agency Head will contact the grievant within fifteen days to set up a meeting at a mutually convenient time and date.
- The Agency Head will attempt to resolve the grievance if it is within the Agency Head's authority to do so or refer the grievance to the appropriate authority.
