Leadership Team

The Leadership Team's (LT) overall purpose is to carry out the activities of the project and provide guidance to project staff, problem solve emergent issues facing schools, ensure that project goals and activities are implemented in a timely manner, coordinate with other state and federal programs that relate to literacy and behavior issues, and advise project staff on the needs of the students, teachers, principals, administrators, specialists, paraprofessionals, and early intervention personnel.

Tasks: The Leadership team coordinates the devlopment and delivery of the competencies, training curriculum, coaching and technical assistnace model for positive behavior suports and literacy foe ECE programs and schools and secondary transition supports for students with EBD in high schools within five SAU DEmonstration sites. This training is then infused into the NH RESPONDS statewide trainings series provided annually to other NH ECE programs, schools, educators and family memebers interested in implementing an RTI framework and/or secondary tranistion services and supports. These activities wer previuosly carried out by the Demonstration Site and Training and TA work groups which have een collapsed under the NH RESPONDS Leadership Team for efficiency and effectiveness given that the membership of these work groups and decisions were found to greatly overlap. The Leadership Team meeets monthly and sometimes more frequently when preparing for statewide trainings.

LT members are also leaders and/or key members on the Early Childhood Education, Institutions of Higher Education, Evaluation, and Secondary Transition Services work groups to ensure alignment of all activities with the NH RESPONDS grant goals, objectives and outcmes.
