The NHDOE Final Reports prepared for each SAU or private school have seen an evolution in design over the past several years. Prior to the implementation of the Yearlong Improvement Process in 1995 the Program Approval Chairperson generated all reports for each visit. However, districts/private schools participating in the yearlong process are now responsible for the development of their own final report. In addition, the compliance information gathered as a result of the required Case Study site visit is done either as a separate document or, in some cases, is included as findings in the body of the final report. Finals Reports are only available once the process has been completed.
With the implementation of the present Case Study model in 2001 yet another format has been created that relies on collaborative team information gathered at the time of the site visit. This format describes the team's summary information related to the three focus areas of: Access to the General Curriculum, Transitions and Behavior Strategies and Discipline. The team also provides commendations and recommendations for improvement.
Effective with the 2007-2008 school year, the Focused Monitoring Process has replaced the Case Study Review Process for public schools. Focused Monitoring sites are selected each spring for the following school year.
