New Hampshire’s Alternate Assessment Programs

The Dynamic Learning Maps™ Alternate Assessment System (DLM™) is an instructionally relevant system that supports student learning and measures what students with significant cognitive disabilities know and can do. The system uses the DLM Essential Elements to support the design of individualized experiences for each student by presenting questions and tasks that are appropriate for a student’s needs and abilities.

NH will continue utilizing the current ALPs Science Assessment with Measured Progress until which time a new alternate assessment for science is available and/or becomes necessary.

In addition, we have reached out to the U.S. Department of Education asking for a multi-year transition process as we move into a new alternate assessment. A response is forthcoming, but the follow-up memo is below:
