All educational facilities that receive federal financial assistance from the U.S. Department of Education are required to be in compliance with civil rights statutes including Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 (covering race, color, national origin), Title IX of the Education Amendments Act of 1972 (covering sex), §504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 (ADA) and the Vocational Education Programs Guidelines For Eliminating Discrimination and Denial Of Services On The Basis Of Race, Color, And National Origin, Sex And Handicap (34 CFR Part 100 Appendix B).

Every year two sites are chosen for a civil rights review.

The documents below are currently being used to facilitate those visits. Additional information, data, interviews and on-site visitations are also included. These documents are being posted in an attempt to educate schools on their rights and responsibilities towards faculty/staff/students/community members in creating and maintaining an educational environment that is honoring of all and free from illegal bias and discrimination.
